Subterranean rivers may be entirely natural, flowing through cave systems. In karst topography, rivers may disappear through sinkholes, continuing underground. In some cases, they may emerge into daylight further downstream.
Subterranean rivers can also be the result of covering over a river and/or diverting its flow into
culverts, usually as part of urban development. Reversing this process is known as daylighting a stream and is a visible form of river restoration. One successful example is the Cheonggye Stream in the centre of Seoul
The Puerto Princesa Subterranean River.
National Park (PPSRNP) is one of the most distinguished biodiversity conservation areas of the Philippines. It is known for scenic natural beauty, intact old growth tropical rainforest, interesting wildlife, pristine white sand beaches and a spectacular limestone formation that possess a most impressive cave system. The main focus of the PPSRNP is an 8.2 km long underground river that is reputed to be the longest navigable underground river in the World.

Puerto Princesa is rich in beautiful places, and one of those is the Underground river wherein, it features a lot of exciting activities such as rock climbing, bird watching, seeing mangrove trees, touring in Sabang river and the most exciting part is that the visitors have the chance in planting mangrove samplings in designated areas.

Our entry (Underground river) will showcase Philippines as one of the World class tourist’s spots and will also represents Us, Filipino’s, for being a nature lover. Since underground river were chosen as one of the Top 77, we once again prove that we are united in promoting and campaigning our nature. And hand in hand We can make it to the Top 1.

lots of love. . . :)

"Do you ever put your arms out and spin and spin and spin?
Well that's what love is like. Everything around you tells you
to stop before you fall, but you just keep going. "

"To love someone is to understand each other, to laugh together, to smile with your heart and to trust one another. One important thing is to let each other go if you can't do this."
